What is a solar permit plan set?
A solar permit plan set is the package of drawings and calculations your local building department (AHJ) reviews before approving a PV installation. It typically includes a site plan, roof and array layout, attachment and structural details, a single-line diagram, wire and conduit calculations, required labels and placards, and equipment spec sheets.
How much does a solar permit plan set cost?
Residential solar plan sets are $150 per project, commercial plan sets start at $200, and ground-mount plan sets are $250. Structural PE stamps and reviews are quoted per project.
Who provides the structural PE stamp and review?
Structural reviews and PE stamps are provided by our engineering partner, Loyd W. Martin Professional Engineer Inc., a structural engineering firm in Orlando, Florida that reviews residential and commercial solar projects. Add a stamp when you order and we coordinate the review with your plan set.
Can you design plan sets for Tesla Powerwall and Enphase battery systems?
